On March 11, 2011, a tsunami struck northeastern Japan by destroying almost everything. Naoya Hatakeyama, photographer, is personally affected by the tragedy that clears his hometown of Rikuzentakata.
In 2013, he published the book Kesengawa about the stupor that followed the destruction of coastal cities. In 2016, he published a new book, Rikuzentakata : same modesty and unique landscapes to evoke this time the birth of a new world, reconstruction and a future …
